The optimum Paille-Tech house is an economical, ecological, healthy and living home. Built with natural materials (wood, straw and earth), it guarantees a healthy living environment. The clay plaster applied on the straw bale insulation regulates the internal humidity levels and offers exceptional thermal capacity (inertia and reduction of differences in temperature). The house can be adapted thanks to a modular construction system. The layout can be adapted based on the orientation, views and priorities of future occupants (open concept living room, separate kitchen, 2 or 3 levels, number of bedrooms). The aim is to minimise primary energy consumption and to come as close as possible to energy autonomy with minimal technology. Depending on build and ventilation choices, the home will either be passive or use little to very little energy...and will store 340 kg CO2/m2.
Whether the potential builder opts for a key-in-hand property or a modular option to reduce budgets, the outcome will be a proven and revolutionary construction system with a high-quality build and without compromising on energy performance.
